Is it finally that time? Can I, at long last, say goodbye to the never-ending series?
It seems impossible, I know. But it is true.
Those little egg cups are just rife with potential, not to mention that they are easy to work with, paint well, and I have gobs of them under my work table.
That serial exploration into the floral possibilities of garbage and other stuff, is over.
Here it is then, just for you. Part 10 - THE FEAST OF THE FLOWER: Egg Cartons. The link to the rest of the series is HERE to peruse whenever you like.
Look here. I searched high and low for the perfect material for the final installment of the series but I just kept coming back to the DEPENDABLE OLD EGG CARTON!
No, I am not yelling. I'm just speaking with conviction.
So I made more egg carton flowers and I hope you like them. I'm sorry if my inability to find a new, more interesting material disappoints you. I will try harder next time.
If you haven't already noticed, this is my 99th blog post! NEXT TIME can mean but one thing. It will be my 100th post celebration which I cordially invite you to attend. Stories will be told, games will be played and prizes will be won! I do hope you can make it!
In the meantime, have yourself a wonderful day!
These are gorgeous Michele! I love them!! Congrats on finishing the series!! I really enjoyed seeing all your creations!
ReplyDeleteI love the series of photographs of your flowers...the flowers too, of course, but I love the shadows and arrangements in the photos a lot too! You make egg cartons look great, why *not* use them again!
ReplyDeleteCongratulation! To come up with ten different views / possibilities to make flowers out of nearly everything is really cool! And you're right.. ten times... this is much! To come up with three or five ideas for a topic, ok, but ten...? I am impressed and I loved your all of your flowers! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the new flowers! Who cares if you used more egg cartons anyway?!
ReplyDeleteWow - 99 posts - that is an achievement!
They are amazing as always Michele. Great job, and good luck with Stashbusting September, all of your projects were fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought so much could be crafted from the humble egg carton.....
ReplyDeleteHugz
These are fab. You keep making them and i'll eat the eggs!!
ReplyDeleteHuzzah!!!!! These are wonderful and a fitting end. I LOVE the simple green bud things, but everything is amazing. Two of look like fantasy protea. (Proteas? For some reason I don't want to add an S.) Your flowers were my intro to your work, and the whole series a triumph.

ReplyDeleteDon't apologize, these are beautiful and you would never think they started life as a humble egg carton! And you know I'll be there with bells on to celebrate your 100th post. Phew that went quick.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the (Gorgeous) photos first and then read your text and had no idea that it was an egg carton. Your photos are stunning, the use of light, love it.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers look fantastic! I love them!
ReplyDeleteEgg cartons are my friend. I think these are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteso pretty! Gosh, I'm amazed at what you can do with what most people say is junk!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful and I like how you reused something most of us would throw away. We all have to do our part for the environment and saving a little here and there can make a difference. Great job.

ReplyDeleteReally can't believe those are made out of egg cartons! Wonderfully creative! TFS on Thrilling Thursday @ Paisley Passions.
ReplyDeleteyour blog is amazing!! I wanted to let you know that I recently started a "Handmade Tuesdays" on Ladybug Blessings. I am featuring a tutorial (let me know if you ever want to be featured) and then am also going to have a linky at the bottom where people can link up previous tutorials they did. It can be from any time but the only rule is it cannot be linked up again. I am also going to be randomly featuring etsy shops as well because not everyone can make things! So please link up on Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to make flowers from egg cartons. Sadly I hardly see anymore- eggs come mostly in plastic boxes these days! My mom also made flowers from sunflower middles and pinecones- she stuck the pinecone petals (what do you call those things anyway?)into the sunflower middles. If i find some egg cartons, I'm going to make some- I love flowers! They make our day, don't they? Patsy from

ReplyDeleteMichele these are so creative... love the way your mind works! Hope you share again tomorrow at a crafty soiree (-:
ReplyDeleteVery nice Michele, just whadda mean the end of a series? You surely don't mean to tell me that your garbage days are over? I wouldn't believe it for a minute! Thanks so much for sharing on Craft Schooling Sunday!
ReplyDeleteAnother item I toss into the recycle bin! Can't believe what I have been missing out on here. Just tossed one this morning, so I'll dig that one back out. Love, love the flowers you made. Such a creative idea. Again, one less embellishment to buy for scrapbooks or cards. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteNice new flowers!!!
