Yarn Painted Card Redux

Many moons ago, I wove bits of yarn into a mesh vegetable bag and created a scenic yarn painted greeting card for a sweet loved one 'o mine. Since I needed a pretty card recently and have no shortage of yarn scraps (or, for that matter, mesh veggie bags ), I thought: "Why not try that again?" This version is simpler in design, and personalized with a blanket-stitched felt monogram. A nifty possibility in a sea of endless ones.

Find the original yarn painted greeting card tutorial HERE.

Have a lovely day!

  9. Hey, I remember that yarn painted card vividly! It was the first post I ever read on your blog :) Van Gogh-esque.

This one looks totally different! I like the earthy stripes, very retro looking.

  11. Lordy, that's pretty! I remember the original tutorial well. But this is so tailored, and that blanket stitch on the monogram is a perfect little detail.

  12. Well I DON'T remember the original tutorial because you wrote it before i "met" you! MUST take time to explore your past secrets!

Brilliant! As much as I enjoy weaving in unconventional ways, you KNOW I will be giving this a try!

Thank you two years late for the tutorial!
