The Boy's Tree Fort Project: Part 2

It's been sometime since the last (and first) tree fort update. Here are a few photos taken along the way to catch you up.

Ground floor framing is completed here with space for two windows and a door. (Aren't my boys cutie pies?)

The Boy is learning to wield certain power tools like the power sander and the cordless drill. He has also used the miter saw. He loves this "manly" aspect of the build!

Attic framing almost complete. This is one serious fort!

It looks like a tiny backyard church, don't you think? I'm lovin' it! I'm also curious to see what they do next... So much fun!

See the first post in this story: here.

  1. Oh my.. the POSSIBILITIES!
I am almost excited, and it's not even my fort! Oh, in my mind I am already buying paints, pirate flags, ropes, water cannons...
Glad to report that inside, I am not a day older than your boy (s...)!
Your kid is way lucky to have you guys as his parents. Coolness factor 10!

  2. It is lovely - and I love what I can see of the loving camaraderie of their relationship (I wonder what colors he will choose!!).

  3. Power tools! And a serious fort! Love seeing the progress of this amazing memory they are building. Plus, when he goes off to college, I see a tiny craft room, hee hee.

  4. This is going to be one cool tree fort!!! Love it!!!

  5. Fantastic! Don't you want to adopt me in your family??? ;-)

  6. impressive!!! wow!!!
    xxxx Alessandra

  7. That is a truly excellent fort!

  8. I think it will be the coolest fort ever! I can't wait to see it finished. You are a talented family!

  9. Whoa, it's so tall! Love the angle of the roof - not what I was expecting to see.
    : )

  10. Yes that is one serious fort all right! Great bonding time with his Dad too. A time he will always remember.

  11. Hello Michele,
The house is looking awsome. What a fun project and great memories for the boys. I can't wait to see more.
    Big hug,

  12. I have never had a tree house so this is really exciting! The progress looks fantastic!

  13. Every boy needs a fort! I'm happy to see the progress! It's really coming along. Glad the boy is learning to use some power tools. It does look like a little church in your back yard. I bet it's fun to see someone else be creative too----I mean besides yourself! Heeheehee!

I want to know what you think... :)
