A Passion for Planes

Anytime of the day, month, year, if you were to ask him, "What would you like to make today?"

... the boy would likely, probably, almost certainly retort, "A plane."

We have spent many an hour, many a day, over the course of his young life...

...building aerial machines, fashioning flyers, assembling all manner of winged devices.

He has a passion for planes.

His favourite right now is the P51 Mustang.

I scarcely know what that is. I only know that he loves it.

If you have a passion for something, you're best to listen to your heart and pursue it.

Even if you are only 7.

Take care, and have a great weekend!

  1. Gorgeous photos. It is important to have a passion - won't it be fun to see him continue to explore his passions as he grows?

  2. I know what passion means. Passion for planes! My son used to have and loved making any kind of paper planes when he was the boy age. Now he loves the real planes and even regonize the sound each plane makes! Michele, I have been enjoying the series of the boy's life - thanks for sharing - Hugs Nat

  6. So sweet. I am anxiously awaiting my 8 year old to find a passion. I was full of it at his age, already crafting away. It nags on my mind a bit that he seems so passionless. His 5 year old sister, she is full of it so no worries there. Perhaps passion takes some longer?

  10. Beautiful, beautiful! I love how you share so many experiences with your little dude - he'll look back later and remember a mom who thought planes were cool and just LOVED building them - even if you were really doing it because he was so into them.

  14. The greatest gift any parent can give their child is to allow them to find their passion and help them in that quest in any way possible.

This post warms my heart. Your son is very lucky indeed.

And those planes! They are fabulous! Absolutely fabulous! I love every single one of them!
