As a rule, I always have leftovers.
As a rule, I like to eat 'em up the very next day.
With these leftovers (from here), I made something small and pretty... and inedible.
And then I sent the inedible somethings far away over land and sea to some very special people where I just know they will be loved.
What do you like to do with your leftovers?
They are all adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI like to put my fabric leftovers in a box so it will be filled with scrappy goodness and once and awhile I make something small and fun.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your leftovers!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job :)
Oh goodness, Michele, so rustic, elegant, sweet & tailored! How did you fit all those adjectives into a little pincushion? Love them!
ReplyDeleteWell, your leftover sunshine is being loved here, I can tell you that!
ReplyDeleteOoohh! i love it!
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet! Did you use that fabric stiffener stuff on the sun/flower petals? I keep forgetting that I want to try that.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Michele. I love my pincushion. It arrived over the weekend. I'm so grateful to you.

I love everyone of your pin cushions - great variety and creativity! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey're all so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI store my leftovers for later use. Every so often I'll need a tiny piece of thread, felt, etc. and there it is to help me finish my project.
I really like those!! I hadn't thought of that.
ReplyDeletewow I really do love your work and am amazed at what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteBut how do you do it? timewise? you are truly fantastic, I'm having trouble keeping up!!! And would love to do sooo much more... I still have an unfinished denim flower to attach to something?? a plaited necklace I think, soon... I hope. love it alll, cheers from downunder...
Thanks tamsininamania for your kind words. How do I do it timewise? That's such a good question. To be honest, it takes a lot of time. I'm still figuring out the whole time-management thing but for the most part I've always got several projects on the go at once, so I can usually find something to blog about. Sometimes I look at my house and think: "Gee, maybe I should clean something." So you see, while I may appear organized on the blog, the reality is a little different than that. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am totally in love with your leftovers :) My leftovers sit in a drawer and get used up by my four year old for little projects here and there.
ReplyDeleteHi,

They are so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteAs for my leftovers (the inedible ones)I collect them in hope of making a big scrappy quilt some time (and in the meantime use them for small projects such as makeup pouches)
I like the ones with the running stitch embellishments the best. Lovely!
