ReplyDeleteAwesome! I am branching out into the world of piecing, right? Piecing? haha See, I'm all new to this! My 3 year old loves geometric patterns, and loves to point out pentagons, hexagons and all those other gons out there. He would love a quilt from this book. :)

Here's me with fingers crossed typing, because I caught Hexi Fever during the summer months and need all the help I can get please .........lol : )
These little hexagons you are making remind me of the 'yo-yos' my grandmother used to make. They were about 1" across and she used them to make baby blankets, pillow covers, lots of things. The only difference - they were round. She would back them with a pastel fabric and they made lovely gifts.

ReplyDeleteI am in the middle of quilting a 1000 piece hexagon charm quilt. Meaning there are no two hexagons the same except one which then becomes a game to find the two the same. I have finished the quilt top and I am now in the process of hand-quilting around each hexagon! I would love to win the book to see what else I can do with hexagons.
