A Bunch More Howling Halloween Egg Cartons Masks

Hey, remember these? I introduced you to the first trio of "Howling Halloween Egg Carton Masks" last year, remember? The tutorial is back HERE see?

As it happens, the original three graced our wall all year round. Even through Christmas, that's right. I just did not want to take them down. Every time that first bunch of masks would catch my eye, I'd think to myself: "Michele, Michele, Michele, you gotta make more of these. They're preTTy cool."

Not only are they pretty cool but they're insanely quick and easy to put together. Anyone can do it, I tell you.

So I made a bunch more. I now have eight of them all told. They make a preTTy neat display howling up there on the wall together, eh?

I used some tiny 1-inch nails to hang them. I covered the nail ends with a little bit of white paint so you can't even see them.

I want to make more still. I imagine covering a whole section of wall with them...

Wouldn't that be nifty-and-a-half?

Junkmail Paper Chain Party Chandelier

Hi! How are you? How've you been? Happy New Year to ya!

I'm still in holiday mode over here. That festive feeling has lingered a wee bit longer than normal this year for some reason. Consequently, I'm later than expected coming back to the blog. I've made not a single New Year's resolution. And I've made the same amount of plans for the year. A big fat zero, that is. So far, I've just been winging the whole darn year. Living dangerously, I am. 10 whole days of complete and utter spontaneity. Can you even handle it?

So, I thought I'd ease into the blog thing today with a few pics of our junkmail paper chain party chandelier.

About a week prior to Christmas, The Boy and I had a serious bout of paper chain-making fever. With the resulting mountain of junkmail garlands, we prettified what seemed like every nook and cranny in the house. By far our favourite thing to decorate was our dining room chandelier. It's so pretty adorned this way. I can't take my eyes off it actually.

And I haven't taken any of the chains down yet. I'm leaving them up for a bit. They match my reckless, devil-may-care mood I think.

Question: Do you have a chandelier in need of bedazzling? Answer: Cover it with junkmail paper-chains. I promise it'll make you smile.
